Join us for the inaugural Floors Castle Trail Race in 2024. Prepare to push your limits through ancient woodlands, and panoramic vistas, all set against the majestic backdrop of Floors Castle, the largest inhabited castle in Scotland.
Choose between the 10km and 5km distances on this undulating but fast course on hard packed gravel trails which culminates in a welcoming and lively atmosphere at our finish line fit for a King or Queen.
And for our young trailblazers, don't miss out on the Junior 3km race, where budding athletes can unleash their spirit of adventure and discover the joy of trail running in a safe and supportive environment. It's the perfect opportunity for kids to lace up their shoes, hit the trails, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Location
Floors Castle is located just outside Kelso close to the Scottish Border. It is approximately 1 hour south east of Edinburgh and 1 hour 30 minutes north west of Newcastle.
Please enter via the main entrance to the south east of the castle and follow signs to the car park. Search for postcode TD5 7RL to locate this entrance.
Course
The Race Village is located on the main lawn directly in front of Floors Castle. When heading to the Race Village from the car park please ensure you only cross the run course at the designated crossing point.

Please note that Floors Castle is private property and we are very grateful to be allowed its use for our event. The castle is open to the public between May and September and you can find more details about opening times and ticket prices on their website. Please do not attempt to enter the castle grounds outwith the official opening times or if you have not purchased a ticket.

The Athlete Information document contains everything you need to safely and successfully complete your event. It will be emailed to all registered competitors and available to download from here 2 weeks before the race.
